We apply these tints to the vast majority of prescription lenses and can also customize your sunglasses with a unique tint.

1 Overview of our tint palette: From Classic to Spectacular

Here are visual samples to give you an idea of the spirit and variety of available lens tints:

Important Note : We have made every effort to ensure these samples reflect reality with the greatest fidelity. However, color perception may vary depending on the screen used, brightness settings, viewing conditions, and actual outdoor lighting. These previews are therefore provided for informational purposes and as an aid to decision-making and do not constitute a contractual commitment.

2 Available tint types

  • Classic : grey, brown, green — for elegant and comfortable sun protection.
  • Gradient : darker at the top, lighter at the bottom — ideal for driving & outdoor reading.
  • Mirror (flash or intense) : silver, blue, green, gold, copper… look effect & glare reduction.
  • Polarized : filter horizontal reflections (road, water, snow) for enhanced contrast.
  • Special colors : vintage rose, deep violet, glacier blue, fashion tints on request.

We can combine tint + treatment (anti-reflective, hardened, etc.) according to your needs.

3 Compatibility & corrections

  • Available for the vast majority of prescription lenses (single vision & progressive) and also without correction (plano).
  • Wide choice of intensities (cat. 1 to 4 depending on tint) and indexes (1.50 to 1.74) according to prescription.
  • We advise you on the tint / use association : driving, sea & mountain, city, sport…

Certain extreme combinations may be restricted depending on your prescription; we will guide you towards the best aesthetic & visual alternative.

4 Customizing sunglasses

First, choose a compatible pair of sunglasses on our website. On the frame's page, locate the white "change lenses" button: by clicking it, you can select the tint of your choice, with or without prescription.

Quick steps

  1. Open the compatible sunglass page.
  2. Click the white "change lenses" button.
  3. Choose tint and prescription (with or without).
  4. Confirm: we manufacture and mount in our workshop.

Already have a favorite pair of sunglasses? Simply send us a photo by email. We will send you the instructions to order sunglass lenses only (with or without prescription) to customize them identically or with a new tint.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Can prescription lenses be tinted?

Yes, in most cases (single vision & progressive). Certain extreme tints may be limited depending on the prescription; we will then offer a close alternative.

What is the difference between mirror and polarized?

Mirror is a surface effect (look + slight glare reduction). Polarized is a filter that cuts reflections (water, road), for superior contrast.

Can I have my sunglasses re-lensed with a new tint?

Yes. Send us the frame (or choose a new one) and indicate the desired tint; we manufacture custom lenses and mount them in our workshop.

What if I hesitate between several looks?

Indicate your uses (driving, sport, sea, city) and the desired appearance (discreet, fashionable, mirror). A Visionet optician will guide you to the best combination.
