Change only the lenses on your frame – Visionet service

Change Your Lenses on Your Frame

Your favorite frame deserves a second life. At Visionet (online optician in France), we change only the lenses of your glasses — even if the frame doesn't come from us.

Why Change LensesWhat's IncludedTypes of LensesConditionsOrder OnlineFAQ

1Why change only the lenses?

  • Your prescription has changed but you love your current frame.
  • Transform optical glasses into sunglasses (or vice versa).
  • More flexible and economical than at a local optician.
  • New prescription: the mutual insurance often reimburses lenses, not the frame.
  • Eco-responsible approach: reuse instead of repurchase.

2Our service includes

  • Secure mounting by qualified opticians.
  • Quality lenses manufactured in France or Europe.
  • 2-year warranty (defects in treatments and manufacturing).

A workshop fee of €14.00 / 15.16 USD / 14.00 GBP is charged in addition to the price of the lenses (this fee is usually included when purchasing a frame on the site).

3Available Lens Types

  • Single vision: near or far vision.
  • Progressive: fluid vision at all distances.
  • Intermediate distance: ideal for office / screen.
  • Prescription sunglasses: UV protection + correction.
  • Non-prescription: clear anti-reflective or sunglasses.

4Service Conditions

  • Frame in good condition (no cracks / breakage).
  • Only full-rim frames are accepted (no rimless).

Visionet reserves the right to refuse mounting if the condition of the frame, the type of mounting, the prescription, the curve, the quality, or the compatibility do not allow for optimal technical and safety mounting conditions.

Important remarks (T&Cs – article 5.7)

For a lens change on a frame not purchased from Visionet or already worn, the customer accepts a low risk of breakage during removal/reinstallation. In case of accidental breakage, no compensation will be granted. In case of delivery problems (loss, delay…), Visionet's liability is limited to the invoiced amount of the order.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

When do you order the lenses?

We order the lenses upon receipt of your frame and once the file is complete (lens type, valid prescription, pupillary distances).

Can I send any frame?

We accept only full-rim frames in good condition. Cracked frames, frames with damaged rims, or designs that make mounting risky may be refused.

How long does the service take?

After receiving and validating the file, custom manufacturing generally takes 5 to 10 business days. You will be informed by email at each step.

What if the frame breaks during mounting?

Although all precautions are taken, a low risk exists for an already worn frame. In accordance with the T&Cs (art. 5.7), no compensation will be granted in case of accidental breakage.

Does my mutual insurance reimburse lens replacement?

In most cases, yes. Replacement is treated as a new pair (depending on your contract). Contact your mutual insurance or our customer service to get a quote.
