Jennifer Lopez & Guess Eyewear - le nouveau visage de la campagne Printemps '20
In spring 2018, then 48 years old, Jennifer Lopez Guess gave her image for an absolutely remarkable campaign. The American star became the oldest Guess Girl in the brand's history. Time doesn't seem to be stopping you, and today, two years later, you are here: a second collaboration that J. Lo still reveals as seductive and glamorous.
Why Jennifer Lopez?
The Guess Spring 2020 campaign, overseen by Paul Marciano, Guess Creative Director, was photographed by Tatiana Gerusova in Santa Monica, California. We can already see some pictures on social networks. The images will be published in future editions of fashion and lifestyle magazines, in Guess and Marciano retail stores, and in several other publications. Paul Marciano says this campaign celebrates Jennifer Lopez's natural beauty and is another testimony to her iconic status.
We can easily understand why this star was chosen again to represent Guess. For starters, she always had a certain reputation in the fashion world: we especially remember her gorgeous green Versace dress, which attracted so much attention at the 2000 Grammy Awards and which she highlighted in a new version of Milan Fashion Week in September 2019. She also received the Fashion Icon Award 2019. Added to this is the critical and commercial success of the film Hustlers, the protagonist of which she is, but also a producer and director. His performance has been praised by critics and viewed as a real comeback.
For Paul Marciano, Jennifer Lopez completely conquered the worlds of cinema, music and fashion, marveled at us and made us dream. He is absolutely delighted to make her the face of a Guess sunglasses campaign for the second time. According to him, it represents the archetype of the Guess Girl: adventurous, it exudes a certain sensuality and a good dose of self-confidence.
Jennifer Lopez talks about her campaign
Jennifer Lopez says she enjoyed this campaign. As always, when her image is sought by a brand, she has bothered to slip into the shoes of a famous character. This time she wanted to give us the impression that she was both Sofia Loren, Madonna in the 80s and an Italian film star of the 60s. In her opinion, the clothes and the decor of the shoot could create this atmosphere wonderfully and she had a lot of fun.
The campaign announcement is part of Guess' latest marketing strategy. In December 2019, the brand launched a five-year plan that focused on products, consumers and developing the brand image.
